If you had to buy your medicine for a life threatening illness would you
trust your life with cheap drugs? Then why trust your corporate identity
with cheap design?!

A good corporate logo is an image based interpretation that represents
the core identity of a company or individual as well as central message,
be it benefit, mission or vision. You could say that it shows off the
“Character and Personality” of a business as well it’s nature. They say a
picture paints a thousand words don’t they?

A prospective customer sees the logo image and uses it as a means to
recognize the company’s products or services. So, quite a tall order
from a good designer then!

And all this in a design that can cross multiple types or media, both
digital and “old school”! So why is it that some companies or
individual’s really believe that they can buy a $50 piece of software or
hire a “nameless face” on the internet and expect a design that can
communicate these things, the very heart of the business?

Forgive me dear reader but I’ve had yet another discussion with a
prospective client who don’t seem to grasp just how important his logo
is as part of his corporate branding and ultimately, the life of his
business. His argument is, “But I can get that done for $50! Why should
I pay you so much more?”

And he’s right! You can get a logo for $50 bucks. Just like you can get
an old banger of a car for a few hundred dollars that you know in you
heart of hearts is going to cost you a small fortune in “fixes &
services”! The principle being, “Cut Costs Now, Pay More Later”!

So maybe you’re just starting out in your internet endeavors, maybe
you’re a seasoned hand and are considering rebranding. Either way, can I
implore you to give serious consideration to your corporate identity,
the obvious part of which is your logo?

It doesn’t need to cost an arm and a leg but at the same time, please
don’t allow yourself to compromise when seeking to communicate “You” or
“Your Brand” to a skeptical and media savvy world. The days of “That’ll
do”, are over! It’s time to up your game if you want to compete in an
increasingly saturated business world.

If you’d like any advice regarding your corporate branding, identity and
or logo please ask. As a designer with years of experience I can help
you make the decisions you will need to make and my initial consultation
is free! Just leave a request in the comment box!
